Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data Crownlark collects when you visit crownlark.com or contact us, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. It applies to website visitors and prospective clients. Work for a client practice runs under a signed Data Processing Agreement instead.

1. Who we are

Crownlark is a focused engineering studio. We build bespoke automation systems for UK accounting and bookkeeping practices.

2. What we collect and why

Email enquiries. When you email us, we receive your name, your email address, and whatever you include in the message. We use it to reply to you. Legal basis: legitimate interests, which means responding to inbound business communications.

Booking a call. Our booking link takes you to Calendly. Calendly collects your name, email address, and scheduling preferences, and sends us a copy of the booking. We use it to confirm and hold the call. Legal basis: legitimate interests, which means holding pre-sales conversations. Calendly's own privacy policy governs what Calendly does with your data.

Site visits. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It uses no cookies. It records the page, the country, the device type and the referring site. It does not identify you. Legal basis: legitimate interests, which means understanding how the site is used.

3. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails and booking details for as long as Crownlark operates as a business. Ask us to delete your data at any time and we will do it within 30 days.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data for marketing or commercial purposes. Your data sits in our email inbox and in Calendly. Visit counts sit in Vercel, which hosts this site. No other third party processes the data described here.

5. Cookies

crownlark.com does not use tracking, analytics, or marketing cookies. No cookie consent is needed.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk. To use any of these rights, email het@crownlark.com. We respond within 30 days.

7. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
